  • Saturday 7th April 2012
  •
  • This Saturday saw two milstones in the clubs history :-
  •
  • Firstly - the last home game for a player who can best be described as a "True Blue"  Richard "Trigger" Brazell. Trigger has played for the club over four decades and has been a stalwart of the first 15 side well respected by his team mates and oppostion.
  • He ended his last home game in true fashion by scoring the first Haverfordwest try giving the blues the lead they needed.
  •
  • I think everyone connected with the club be it playing, committee or supporting would like to wish Trigger a happy and healthy playing retirement (but only after our last two away games.)
  • Secondly Saturday saw Haverfordwest entertain a committed Lampeter side who at the end of the first half lead the way 3 - 7, however the second half was a slightly different story with tries from Richard Trigger Brazell and replacement centre Dan Birch, these converted by Steve Williams along with a penalty to seal the game
  • Haverfordwest 20 - Lampeter 14.
  • The League
  • As a result of the Firsts IV win on Saturday Haverfordwest are now Topof Divison Three West with a Guaranteed top two finish which means we have secured Promotion to DIVISION TWO (West) for next season.
  • The Second IV unfortuately have had their last two games postponed due to opposition unable to field sides however still Top the AWS 1 League table with a healthy 50 points
  • However the final run in for both sides to top the tables has the potential for a tight finish.
  • WHATS NEXT
  • Our next scheduled league game for Saturday 14th April 2012 is as follows :-
  • First IV away to Tumble   Kick off 2:30pm Travel will be by car.
