BRIAN STEPHENS
Name:
Brian Stephens
Position:
President
Brian has been involved in rugby as a player for Llanelli Wanderers and later as a top class referee. When work brought him to Pembrokeshire, Brian became involved with his local club and soon joined the Committee, spending several years as Treasurer. Brian was the natural choice to take over as Club President when Jasper Slater stepped down in 1997. He is also involved in the County Committee and has contacts throughout Welsh Rugby circles, having spent several years on the League Management Committee.

GARETH GRIFFITHS
Name:
Gareth Griffiths
Position:
Chairman
:
Gareth is one of five brothers who have all played together for Haverfordwest. After his playing days, GG as he is known turned his hand to coaching the youth and juniors and was for many years coach of Pembrokeshire Youth. Having hung his boots up, he has decided to give something back to the club he loves and after a short stint on the committee, his talents and industriousness were recognised with his being appointed as Chairman.

ALUN WILLS
Name:
Alan Willis
Position:
Vice Chairman
Alan is another one of our 'clubmen' who does sterling work for the club. Currently our membership secretary, his bark is worse than his bite but it gets the job done. He is adept at turning his hand to most things at the club and has a good knowledge of 'contacts' in the local community. He has alo recently taken on the role of Vice Chairman.

Name:

Position:
Hon Secretary

John Wray
Name:
John Wray
Position:
Hon Fixture Secretary
What can we say about John - other than he is who he is. Never short of a few words he does an excellent job as our fixture secretary. and to anyone who will listen to him offers many a story on rugby and life in general.

Dellyth Summons
Name:
Delyth Summons
Position:
Hon Treasurer
Delyth enters her first full year as treasurer and is the only 'bird' on the committee! Having started at a difficult time she has more than earned her stripes in organising and controlling the club's finances. Her other (better?) half, John, is currently helping to coach the youth. An excellent club person she is often seen undertaking roles and jobs you would not normally associate with her position.

CHARLES DAVIES
Name:
Charles Davies
Position:
Trustee
Charles is the longest serving member of the Committee and it is his proud boast to have played for the 1st XV in each of 4 decades from the 1960's to the 1990's. Charles spent many years as the Club Secretary before other commitments forced him to take a back seat. He has been a Trustee for several years and is also Secretary of Pembrokeshire and District Rugby Union. As if that is not enough, he is also a town councillor and ex Town Mayor.

Graham Dalton
Name:
Graham Dalton
Position:
Trustee
Graham is one of the stalwarts of the club. After his playing days, he started a long association with Youth Rugby, at Club, District and National level. When not working abroad, he keeps himself busy with all aspects of running and supporting the club. He is also the Treasusrer of the Pembrokeshire Youth Rugby Union. is back in the thick of things once more. Was honoured to have been awarded Honorary Life Membership and to be appointed a Trustee in recognition of his valuable contribution.

Jasper Slater
Name:
Jasper Slater
Position:
Trustees
Jasper is a successful local businessman, but despite huge demands from other commitments, he still makes time for the rugby club. As a trustee he is able to add a professional business perspective to the club's affairs, along with a wealth of contacts. Jasper is one who never seeks recognition for his good work for the club. He now has a reason to spend more time at the clubhouse, as his grandson now plays with the youth.

LAWRENCE KELLY
Name:
Lawrence Kelly
Position:
Trustees
Lawrence has a longer association with the club than he would care for others to know of. He was an integral part of the set up in the glory days of the 70's and 80's. The family connection has been kept with son Matthew the regular 1st XV scrum half and ex captain. Lawrence's biggest ambition is to work towards a return to Pembrokeshire Rugby in the seniors. The restructuring of the National Leagues went some way towards that this year, but Lawrence sees the future as lying within the District. Lawrence is taking a sabbatical this year after the sad passing of his wife Judy - a lovely, bubbly character who was one of the driving forces behind the ladies committee in Lawrences playing days.

GRAHAM JENKINS

Shay Buckley
Name:
Shay Buckley
Position:
Committee
Shay hails from Cork but has spent many years in the town having recently retired from the Headmasters post at Mary Immaculate School. Shay started his involvement when his son Rhys was playing in the Minnies and was not content to stand by and watch, becoming Chairman of the Juniors. Rhys unfortunately no longer plays, but Shay has retained his links and when he retired, found that he had more time on his hands to take a place on Committee. As if that wasn't enough, Shay is still heavily involved with Merlins Bridge junior football.

Dr David Richards
Name:
Dr David Richards
Position:
Committee
Team Doctor and a local General Medical Practitioner, Dr David hails from Ammanford and played rugby for Amman Utd and Cardiff Medicals. Noteable awards include 'Inter Universities Disco Dancing Champion 1975!'. He joined the RAF after qualifying as a doctor and moved to Haverfordwest in 1991.

Nigel Griffiths
Name:
Nigel Griffiths
Position:
Committee
Nigel took 12 months off after a distinguished carreer as the longest serving 1st XV player before returning to help run the 2nd XV. Nigel had to give that up after a season when he found that more often than not he ended up playing! After that Nigel turned his hand to coaching the youth with Jim Fryer - He may look young, but there's no danger of him playing there. Further misfortune befell Nigel when his brother Gareth became Chairman of the committee and his first job was to rope his sibling in.
Try as you might Nigel, there's no getting away from us!

Barry France
Name:
Barry France
Position:
Committee
Still on the run from the authorities - last seen on the Costa Del Sol. Alledgedly still a major share holder in the breweries of UK!!!

Tess Morse
Name:
Tess Morse
Position:
Committee
Tess is another who felt that he had to stay in touch with rugby when he retired from playing, keeping his long association with the club. Tess is an electrician who will turn his hand to any jobs to help the club. He is an ever present at home matches and always makes sure that he helps in the various duties. He also likes to help in any other functions that the club organises. He is to be found manning the gate at home matches with son Stephen who also doubles as helper for the 1st XV.

Dai Jenkins
Name:
Dai Jenkins
Position:
Clubman
Dai is an ever present with the first XV, home or away watching son Graham, who is now a 1st XV regular. Dai keeps the changing facilities tidy, marks the pitches, keeps an eye on all the training equipment and balls and ensures that all the playing kits are laundered. Without him rugby at the club would have difficulty in functioning.

Mike Melden
Name:
Mike Melden
Position:
Clubman
Mike is another person rugby clubs cannot do without. Ever keen to help out when needed he is a keen supporter of the club and is often seen on the touch line handing out the water bottles (and advice!).

Ken Price
Name:
Ken Price
Position:
Clubman
Ken never played rugby, but started to go to the club to watch his grandson playing in the juniors, now in the 2nd XV. He was always ready to help with the many tasks involved with all levels of rugby, especially with the 2nd XV. Although retired, Ken hates having nothing to do and he is one of the busiest men at the club, manning the gate and doing the bulk of the maintainence jobs.
